Harrisburg University embarked on its journey almost two decades ago to create a higher education facility in the Capital Region that would serve to propel its students and the community into the 21st century. With the support and generosity of local businesses, organizations and citizens, and the on-going support of public and private institutions, Harrisburg University received the funding it needed to complete their journey. The University was awarded certification by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Education and opened its doors to its Pioneer Class in August 2005.
As part of the University's enduring commitment to providing their students with the skills and knowledge to succeed in a technological world, they employed SAGE Technology Solutions to equip their classrooms with the latest in technology advances; giving their faculty the best teaching tools available including...
- Crestron Wireless Touch Screen Room Controllers with Customized GUI interface screens

This technology provides the professors, students and the community with a meeting area which is as cutting edge as their classrooms. With the incorporation of the Crestron Wireless Touch Screen Controllers, operation of this new technology is as simple as pushing a button.
SAGE Technology Solutions has also partnered with the University as the exclusive sponsor of the First Annual Honorary Alumni Assocation Celebration held on Wednesday, January 25, 2006. The event, hosted by Mayor Stephen Reed, First Honorary Alumus and Honorary Chair, was attended by over 100 Harrisburg professionals who donated to the University and became Honorary Alumni themselves. The event raised over $100,000 that will be used to provide need-based scholarships to the students at the university. The University focuses on under-represented populations and is made up of 70% minority and 50% female students, virtually all students at the University qualify for some form of aid. SAGE is proud to have the priviledge of sponsoring such an event.
